Welcome to Pixelversity Open Circle discussion event during Pixelache Festival 2011!
Pixelversity aims to be a ‘learning bridge’ between practitioners, cultural and non-profit organisations, interested individuals and larger institutions, and an outreach programme extending beyond Helsinki. As a ‘curated pedagogy’ consideration is given to the relationships between the different activities, and how they may build up accumulative knowledge and skills towards the next year’s Pixelache Helsinki Festival.
What role do festivals and cultural organisations have in education? How can organised networks provide curricula? Do you know techniques for transdisciplinary or undisciplinary studies? What and where do you wish to study and how do they connect?.. What can be Pixelversity?
We invite you to bring your questions, thoughts, opinions and experiences of networked culture and education in this open circle discussion in the company of festival guests and local educators. Attendees include Edward Shanken, Catherine Lenoble, Markku Nousiainen, John Fail, Mariana Salgado, Owen Kelly and others to be confirmed.
This session is open for all (you do not need a festival pass to attend).
Facilitated by Pixelversity coordinator Andrew Gryf Paterson.
